What a great way to get the lay of the land before actually heading out and about in St Augustine. I came across a review that said go early, ride a full time around and then start the hop on, hop off process and that was the way to go. They are extremely knowledgeable and informative, as well as safety driven. At one stop a couple hopping on ran and jumped on prior to the trolley coming to a full stop and the bell ringing (an announcement said at every single stop as they slow and as they go) this is not only for passenger safety but also for traffic and vehicles around the trolley. Punky was our guide at that time and she did an INCREDIBLE job of addressing the situation and importance of the rules for on/off. We learned a ton and would definitely recommend hopping on!

I rode the trolley on my first full day in St Augustine to get a feel for the layout of the town and the places I wanted to explore. I think that was a wise choice. I got off at a couple of places to explore, and it was easy to find another stop to get back on. I rode with three different guides- they're all different in style, but they all know their history.
